The Client

The Buckland Studios offer boutique bed and breakfast accommodation in the foothills of Mount Buffalo. With a stunning outlook, carefully considered inclusions and a gold standard of service, owners Melany and Dave retained our services to accelerate their bookings through the transition from pandemic back to ‘COVID normal’.

The Challenge

After an audit of The Buckland’s digital presence and sales funnel, it became clear that a full website rebuild was in order to give any paid ads the best chance of performing to their fullest potential. Once the website rebuild was complete, we were able to deploy our advertising strategy.

The Strategy

For such a unique, boutique, remote accommodation venue, our approach needed to resonate with those who appreciate luxury experiences and regional adventures. As audiences were hesitant to book experiences too far in advance, it was essential that we ‘warm up’ the audience, creating an emotional connection with the place and the people before scaling up our advertising efforts.

From a monthly spend of just $794 in January, we reached 50 bookings (each booking is a minimum of two nights) and 18 gift voucher sales. We (conservatively) calculate that our ads during this period resulted in about $35,000 in revenue. This puts our ROAS at a massive 4408.06%!
