How a New Website and Organic Social Media Achieved Our Biggest First Month of Growth for a Local Foodstore

Clancy’s Foodstore Case Study

The Client

Clancy’s Foodstore is a regular go-to coffee haunt for Albury Wodonga locals. Full of energy and life, the store stocks a selected range of provisions from small businesses in the region and beyond. Their biggest point of difference lies in their wholesome and fresh take home meal offerings.

The Challenge

Having established a healthy amount of regular visitors, Clancy’s Foodstore enlisted our services to widen their reach within the community through organic social media and a new website.

The client’s existing WIX website gave a pared-back look into who they are as a brand. With minimal information, stock images and low-resolution menu images, our challenge was clear: to create a website that truly reflected this brand.

The Strategy

Our partnership with Clancy’s began during the COVID-19 pandemic, and like so many others, the business was seeing the impact that restrictions were having on their sales numbers. Wanting to shift their focus to promoting their take home meals, we established a plan for the client’s social media and new website.

Working first on their new website, we created a site that aligned with the brand’s guidelines. Our in-house photographer captured more suitable images of the take home meal selection, and we sourced high quality and consistent images of the store’s provisions for its shop section. We built on existing meal listings, ensuring that all ingredients and descriptions were complete so that the browsing site visitor would have all of the necessary information at their fingertips.

Next came social media. From the beginning, our social media strategy was clear. Staying true to Clancy’s tone of voice, we focused on connecting with the supportive community of Albury Wodonga. With a brand new site in tow, we launched our organic social management with a local competition to increase brand awareness and promote Clancy’s take home meal range. To boost our social media engagement and reach a wider audience with the client’s offerings, we also introduced Facebook ads.

The Result

The results speak for themselves! With a massive increase in reach and engagement, the team saw a noticeable increase in the sales of their take home meals, and awareness of their brand locally.
